Art. 40a-40g CO establish a 14-day right of withdrawal for door-to-door and telephone sales (not for online purchases, except in certain cases). The Unfair Competition Act (UCA) prohibits unfair commercial practices (art. 3 UCA): misleading advertising, aggressive selling methods. The Product Liability Act (PLA) allows claims for damages without proving the manufacturer's fault. Legal warranty for defects is governed by art. 197 et seq. CO (2 years for furniture).
